Privacy Policy

KALAKAR is operated by Kalakar Agency SMC Pvt Ltd, a single-member private limited company incorporated in Pakistan and based in Islamabad. We are the party responsible for the personal data described here.

When you apply to the network or complete creator onboarding, we collect:

• Identity and contact — name, email address, phone number, city.
• Profile — bio, content categories, profile photo and cover photo you upload.
• Platform accounts — your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook handles and profile URLs, plus follower counts.
• Performance — self-reported average views, median views, engagement, and audience geography, kept as timestamped snapshots so we can show performance over time.
• Commercial and availability — your rate or rate range, whether you want it shown publicly, audience location notes, availability notes, and anything else you add to the application.
• Account — if you create a creator login, your email address and a hashed password (we never store the password itself), plus session records.
• Referral — if you signed up through another creator’s invite link, we record who referred you.
• Our notes — review status, review date, and internal notes made by our team.

When you submit a campaign brief or contact us, we collect:

• Business name, contact name, email address, phone number, website, and social handles.
• Industry, campaign objective, what you’re promoting, target city, budget, platforms, creator preferences and count, campaign dates, and any additional requirements you write in.
• The status of your enquiry as our team works through it.

Like most websites, we collect basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and rough location derived from IP. This comes from our hosting provider’s logs and from Google Analytics.

Cookies and similar technologies are covered in our Cookie Policy.

• To review creator applications and run the creator network.
• To build and publish approved creator profiles on the public directory.
• To match creators to briefs, plan campaigns, and present shortlists to prospective clients.
• To respond to enquiries and send transactional email.
• To report on campaign performance to the brand involved in that campaign.
• To operate, secure, and improve the site, and to prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
• To meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.

We rely on your consent (given when you submit a form or create an account), on the performance of a contract with you, on our legitimate interest in running and promoting the platform, and on compliance with law. You can withdraw consent at any time — see your rights.

Once a creator profile is approved, it goes on the public directory and can be found by search engines. A public profile can show your name, city, categories, bio, profile and cover photos, platform handles and links, follower counts, and performance metrics.

We never publish your email address, phone number, review notes, or internal notes. Your rate is private by default and is only shown publicly if you choose to make it public.

Pending and rejected applications are never published. Business briefs are never published.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with:

• Clients and prospective clients — creator profile and performance information, when proposing a creator for a campaign.
• Creators — campaign details relevant to work they are being invited to do.
• Service providers who run parts of the platform on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Bunny.net (image storage and delivery), Resend (transactional email), and Google Analytics (site analytics).
• Advisors and authorities — where required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

These providers operate servers outside Pakistan, so your information is stored and processed internationally. We only use providers who commit to appropriate security and confidentiality.

• Approved creator profiles — for as long as you are part of the network, and until you ask us to remove them.
• Pending or rejected applications — up to 24 months, so we can revisit them, then deleted.
• Business briefs and campaign records — for the duration of the relationship and as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.
• Analytics data — per Google Analytics’ own retention settings.

Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, admin and creator areas are behind authentication, uploads are restricted by file type and size, and access to production data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify affected people if a breach materially affects them.

You can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that’s wrong or out of date.
• Delete your profile, application, or account.
• Stop using your data for a particular purpose.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave.

Email hello@kalakar.agency and we’ll respond within 30 days. Creators with an account can also edit most of their profile directly from the creator dashboard.

Note that content already published as part of a live campaign on a third-party platform may need to be removed through that platform.

KALAKAR is not for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from children, and we’ll delete it if we find we have.

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of the page, and tell you directly where the change is material and we hold your email address.
